Hiya! Today’s post isn’t exactly something sweet, but it’s insanely delicious. For the past few weeks, I have quite literally lived off of bruschetta haha and so I thought I would share how I make it. It’s a tomato mixture spread over a slice of sourdough bread and it’s nice and light for the summer. Enjoy 🙂
Serves: 2 slices (1 person)
Prep time: 15 minutes
Difficulty: Super easy
2 slices of sourdough bread
1 truss tomato
1/2 teaspoon garlic, extra to spread on bread
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 tablespoon of basil
Salt and pepper
Butter, to spread on bread
- Heat up a grill and spray with a small amount of oil. Toast the slices of bread. It should only take roughly 10 minutes, varying on your grill and the temperature you set it at.
- Meanwhile, chop the tomato and onion and place into bowl. Add garlic, olive oil, basil and salt and pepper.
- Cut the toasted bread into halves and spread a bit of butter and garlic on each slice. Spoon tomato mixture onto bread and sprinkle with a bit more basil and pepper. Enjoy!
