150g butter, chopped

180g dark chocolate, chopped

1/2 cup caster sugar

2 eggs, lightly beaten

1 1/4 cups plain flour

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

220g caramello chocolate, frozen, chopped (see note)

Step 1: Preheat oven to 180°C (160ºC fan-forced). Line a regular slice tray with baking paper.

Step 2: Place butter and dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of boiling water over medium heat. Melt, stirring for around 4 minutes or until smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar. Set aside for 5 minutes. Step 3: Whisk eggs into chocolate mixture until combined. Add sifted flour and cocoa (I found it easier to add this in gradually). Whisk to combine. Fold in caramello chocolate. Spread mixture into prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until top is firm to touch. Step 4: Set aside to cool completely. Step 5: Using a 5cm heart-shaped cutter, cut brownie shapes and serve. Enjoy 🙂 Notes:

– Converter:

– On freezing the chocolate: freezing the chocolate means you get larger chunks in the brownies

Have a sweet day 🙂
